US Elle Décor magazine hosts an Impressive full-page feature on Greek architect Spiros Soulis and Iktinos Marmaron Spiros Soulis Designs
USA Elle Decor – home decorating and design magazine with the largest circulation worldwide – latest issue with actress, Marisa Tomei in its cover, hosted greek architect Spiros Soulis who spoke amongst other things about his work and his great love for marble, “a material that exudes Greece”, as he says, with which he has created the already successful brand of objects and furniture “Iktinos Marmaron Spiros Soulis Designs.”
More specifically, Elle Decor hosted Spiros – the first Greek architect ever presented -in the ‘Talent’ section of the magazine, stating “the Greek architect Spiros Soulis has a special love for marble, a Greek material which he uses in a surprising way to create the most unexpected objects.”
The feature also mentions on the career of the renowned Greek architect, who, having lived for ten years in London studying architecture and working for Lord Norman Foster, one of the largest architectural firms in the world, he returned to his beloved country, Greece and opened his own architectural office.
Concerning marble, the material Spiros uses to create all the decorative objects and furniture he designs he stated: “There is a misconception that the marble is heavier than glass and cement but actually it weighs less. I wanted to create the impression that my objects can beat gravity.”
